Barnyard Dance!

This week, we read the cute and fun book,  Barnyard Dance by Sandra Boynton, which you can find on our Book List.

We had fun reading about cows that dance, pigs that spin, and other farm animals that have rhythm!  We also made a fun and super easy craft–a tambourine!  We punched 6 holes in a small paper plate. Then we inserted four jingle bells into four of the holes, flipped the plate over and ran a ribbon through the backs of the jingle bells and tied it off.  In the other two holes we tied some curling ribbon.  We also added music stickers on the paper plates.  We had fun tapping our tambourines to the beat of some of our favorite songs…join us next week to see what instrument we make next!

NEXT WEEK:

With what instrument can you “shake, rattle and roll?” Come and play with us!
